Overview

My experience building XR culminated in a Stanford Computer Science honors thesis: a virtual reality Disparometer that tracks patient eye movements to better understand how people with strabismus perceive stimuli.

It was the inaugural project at the new Visualization Lab in Stanford's Wu Tsai Institute.

The question

Can consumer VR headsets be a viable method for conducting vision research on patients affected with strabismus? The application measures subjective versus objective measures in strabismus patients.

Next steps

The application was designed to be tested on clinical patients, with results presented to a panel of Stanford professors.
